I'm looking for low and no sugar recipes to sell at Farmer's Market. I'm particularily interested in pies, banana and zucchini breads, cookies, and rolls.

Thanks!

Now that sounds good Cindy! I am just not a fan of artificial sweetners..hate that icky aftertaste...from ALL of them. Have tried splenda too..just hate it! I don't like the taste of stevia at all either. I like to use applesauce or that sort of thing as sweetner sometimes but hadn't thought of apple juice concentrate..what a great idea!! I will be making this pie for sure!

Hello to all!

I have just started looking things up on the chat site and I am very interested in finding Diabetic Friendly Recipes. If anyone has any more that they would like to share, I would be pleased to get a copy!

Thank you and have a great weekend.

We make a cookie recipe that has no sugar (no artificial sweetner either) that can easily become banana bread or zucchini bread if you experiment. I have made breads and cakes from it. I take 2 cups of multigrain pancake mix (this is the best thing in the world), 1 1/2 cups of fruit sauce/mashed fruit (apples, bananas, plums - whatever), 1 egg, 1 tb molasses, 1 teas vanilla. That's the basic recipe. I have made gingerbread with this recipe by increasing the molasses and adding spices. It's wonderful - the only problem is it molds fairly quickly so you'd have to make it the night before and make sure it's eaten in a couple days.
My mother is diabetic so we experiment a lot with recipes. I am currently working on using stevia as a substitute so I'll let you know if it works well in baking. It's great in tea and coffee - add it to the mixture when steeping.

Good evening.... That sounds great and I will have to try it! I do have Pretty, yet good tasting recipe's....that you might want to try!? Things for dessert such as...Tarts, breads, muffins, Buckels and more.

What do you have readily available? Peaches? Blueberries? Cranberry's? Strawberry's?

I also have dinner recipe's...but, keep in mind I also do not use salt, but, lots of Herbs!

Most of my recipe's I also have a photograph that I could send to let you know the end product! I wish I knew how to work this chat room and e-mail a photo right here! I noticed someone sent a photograph of her Herbs drying! Nice too! Any words of wisdom to help me?
