You give your son a bath, get him dried and dressed, add half a cup of bleach to the water, throw in your whites, let soak, remove and quickly rinse in the washer, then clean your tub and toilet with the leftover bleach water.

You watch you neighborhood like a hawk on trash day, dumpster/garbage picking at 10 at night wearing a baseballcap and moving as fast as one can secretly stashing your finds to haul off the next day.

You make a delicious meal out of $5 worth of almost expired/limp food and it comes out fantastic.

Cheers,
Heather

The worst time was when I picked up some really nice lumber, but he has a truck box in the back on his truck, and we forgot tie downs, so I had to LAY down in the back on the truck, hugging the wood and praying we didn't get pulled over by the cops!!! LOL LOL LOL

Another time, I pulled a chair and small table out of the dumpster and stashed them by the side of the road, I came back about an hour later ( I got sidetracked) and there was a homeless man SITTING in my chair!!! I let him have it because he looked so happy to have a little piece of something of his own!! But I sure did get a good chuckle...

DH knows when I start with "Ok, now don't think I am crazy...or.....can I borrow the truck Saturday Night around...oh...11 p.m.???"

Cheers,
Heather

when you take all of the leftovers-throw them in a pot on Saturday and call it lunch and dinner stew. You might even have enough left over for Sunday lunch and dinner too!

You snatch up every set of lace trimmed sheets for a quarter per set at the thrift

you make all of your gifts-AND the gift wrap!

after a towel has seen better days, you rip it to strips to use for baby wipes, then wash cloths, then dust rags, then shop cloths then your worms eat them (only if they haven't been in the shop)

oh there are so many aren't there?lol

I just got another one because I just did it! When you have a felted sweater, you cut the sleeves off and make fingerless gloves/wrist warmers.

you buy other people's felted sweaters at the thrift to make diaper covers, fingerless gloves and purses

you buy the wool socks at the thrift that you CANNOT believe other people tossed....ESPECIALLY in Northern Minnesota where woolies are VERY FRIENDLY in the cold months.

...when you rinse out Ziploc bags.

...when you cut the sleeves off a wool sweater to make new, warm pockets for your husband's barn jacket.
