It's been a while since I've been on this board and I'm starting to realize just how much I really miss it! Determine to get active among the farm girls, I would like to share a wonderful and easy holiday recipe. I promise, you can't stop at one serving, and everyone will rave over this one!

Pumpkin Pie Cake~

4 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 (16-oz.) can pumpkin
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 (12-oz.) can evaporated milk
1 box golden butter or yellow cake mix
1 c. butter
1 c. pecans

Mix in order~ eggs, cinnamon, sugar, pumpkin and milk. Pour into greased 9x13-inch dish . Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of mixture. Drizzle butter on top of cake mix. Sprinkle pecans over all. Bake 1 hour at 350. Serve w/ whipping cream.

Oh! We call that pumpkin dump cake, Rhonda!!! Sooooo good! We make it all the time! It really IS delicious, girls! And super easy - it's nice in a pinch when you don't have time to roll out the crusts! :) Perfect for autumn! You girls will love it!

Oh - and you can just use your favorite pumpkin pie filling recipe with this too, then just spread the dry cake mix on top, sprinkle on the pecans, and then you don't even have to melt the butter - just thinly slice the pats all over the top and let the oven do the rest!

Great post, Rhonda! 'Looking forward to many more!!! :)

Hugs - Nini

Paula, that's why I'm thinking of baking the cake. Simple ingredients. I'm not much of a baker, but I think I can do this.

Sounds great! I just made a similar cake using peaches. It was yummy! My Hubby even told his construction crew about it and took samples. A couple of the guys wanted the recipe!! Can you imagine these big burly guys exchanging cake recipes?? Thanks for posting, I'll for sure give it a try! Oh, and the "crew" thanks you too!! Hugs, Lu

P.S. Welcome back!!

I passed this recipe on to one of the gals I work with and she went home last night and made it. She brought it in to work today and it was delicious!
