If your dishwasher grey, and strained?#! Use Tang! It makes it like brand new.

It's not natural, I know.
I always wondered if it does that well for dishwashers, whats it do for us. I have neve touch the stuff to drink again.

Same here Debi, I get scared just thinking of what we put in our bodies and don't know about. I'm on well water and so far it's good just real high in iron, which I'd rather have than softened water.

I'll toss some Tang in the DW though and see what it does for it, though I keep it pretty scrubbed.

Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

I've used Tang and it sure worked for me! I think I read it was the citric acid that does the job... and the dishwasher detergent is alkaline, so it makes sense.

This totally CRACKED ME UP!! Honestly, you farmgirls are just the B.E.S.T!! I'm sure the makers of Tang would just LOVE to know that aside from their space age drink stuff its good for cleaning dishwashers, toilets (why not?) and what not! I am totally giggling...it sure does make one think about what goes into the body...amazing.. Thank you so much for the chuckle.. I really needed that!

Now you tell us, Debi!

Dang! (rhymes with Tang)

I just purchased and used the Jet-Dry bottle for cleaning dishwashers; and I must say that it did a great job. It was about $3.50 for a small bottle that you peel the lid off of and stand (upside down) in the utensil bin. Then run the dishwasher on heavy cycle. Our washer is about 22 years old and this is the first time I've tried anything for the interior. You'd think it would be a self-cleaning sort of thing, wouldn't you?

Oh, Wow you still have one of the good ones. I live where they have blue clay in the water so I use tang and vinegar to clean it up and so far its worked. You would think the soap would do it. I also use dishwasher soap to get wax off my floor(it cleans it too).
