*raises hand again* I was wondering about those of us who have active farms or live on one. Or even those of us who can get to one and learn a bit of farm lore. maybe a badge for learning to milk, raising chickens or something. Lambing is darned hard work! LOL! hey, it's worth asking about huh?
Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart
Annika that is a great idea. I will check with Alee and see what she might come up with. If you look at the heading, Everyday Gold under the title Garden Gate you will see that there is a badge for starting your own chicken flock. I love the idea of learning to milk a cow. Thanks Annika!

Thanks for the great ideas Annika. We are working on getting all three levels up for each badge. We want to make sure that each level is a true achievement that we all can be proud of. We should have all 3 levels completed for them all withing the next few days.

EDIT: This is like 4H for big girls. I missed out when I was a kid, so now it's really special to be able to strive for a skill or service badge, to have a sisterhood to belong to to have a group that shares my goals and ideals. Thia=s is going to be a good thing all 'round.
