Ladies,

I woke up this morning with a headache and it's still here! Not getting better. Haven't had one like this in a long time. There was a sudden change in the weather yesterday and I'm sure that's part of it but I need to feel better today -- have to take son on his new paper route this afternoon, etc.

Thanks for your prayers,

Holly

ps-- put some thieves and lavender oil on my head and am off to lay down with a warm washcloth as well.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

I will sure keep you in my prayers..I tend to get headaches too..lavender and a dark room help me alot...sounds like you are doing all the right things...My bad knee is killing me today..I am sure it IS the weather change, I bet that is contributing to your headache too.
Take care!!!

Hon, sometimes putting something either warm or cold at the base of your skull helps. Try thee rice in a sock trick...just tie some rice in a sock or other small thing and microwave for 1 minute.... It was recommended to me yesterday and it really helps. Usually headaches need cold for me to feel better and a frozen bag of peas is a great thing to have around...just write don't eat on them and they will serve quite a long time for head aches bites and bumps
I hope that you feel better :}

Wishing you joy in small things and peace in your heart

Holly, the heated rice (or a corn pillow, which is what I have) really works on some headaches. I use it for sinus headaches and migraines, when I feel pain and pressure around my eyes and nose. Hope you feel better before you need to drive. Good luck!

Take a couple sniffs of menthol. Vicks vapor rub. My allergies are killing me right now. I also swear by excedrin. My sister thought I was being picky until she had her first migrane. Two excedrine with a coke. Works Wonders when all else fails.

Hey, Aimee: my migraine prescription is two tylenol and a cup of coffee. So close, yet so different...just like the spelling of our names!

If your headaches are caused by allergies, I have had really good luck with loratidine (over the counter claritin).

Thanks ladies, It's still hanging around. Thought hubby might have to take me to hospital shortly after he got home but it has lessened again. I took some homeopathic meds around 2pm with coffee and things were better but then we he got home at 3:30 it was all I could do not to cry -- he told me to stop saying Oh God and Jesus over and over but it was more a prayer than anything! Took some motrin and more homeopathics and now it's just a dull ache. Hopefully it won't get that bad again.... if it does I will go in. I haven't had one this bad in years, worries me a bit with my Chiari Malformation.

Have you tried rubbing some peppermint oil into your temples? That could help a bit I think.

Hope you are feeling better my dear. Have hubby try a foot massage! ((((hugs)))))
