I have things to barter and just plain give away, but how do you choose who to give it to? first comer? I don't want to sound dumb, but I'd rather ask then upset any one.

Annika-
I think it is really up to you. You can do first come first serve type of trade, or you could go with who ever had the item you wanted to barter, or you could put names in a hat and draw a name.
I don't think anyone will be mad if they don't get chosen.

You might want to start a blog page for just barter stuff if you have alot of it. I found that has worked well for me. Then make a list of things you are looking for and any rules you have regarding bartering

Annika, I don't have much to barter, but when I have, I've simply offered it up, and listed what I might be interested in trading for. I have always done first come, first serve, because that just seems fair to me--and if you are up front about what you'd like in return, I think it eliminates offers that you wouldn't entertain.
When you just have something to give away, which I've done, also. I simply take first come first serve.
