Hey yall.
Boy is it ever cold and windy
I was complaining about how hot it was this summer
Now, I am complaing how windy and cold in the 40's now at 7:19 pm

Do any of you know what I can buy to protect fabric
Like aprons' bibs,
I made some out of darker fabric
I would like to stain reguard it
After all the work that goes into them
Spray startch helps ; but I thought maybe some of you would know
I love to sew hearts on the bid from and satin stitch around them
I do the pockets too
When I can find it a good price I use eyelet ruffled edeging
I also crochet edeings I make
So, Anyone know how I can protect the aprons and still use them? Pinkroses

I think there are products out there. Stain guard, or fabric guard. Maybe ask at the fabric store.

Nancy is right. ScotchGuard puts out an excellent stain/water repellant spray for clothing (not the kind you apply to carpets & upholstery) that leaves no visible residue and works very well. I used it on the EMT, fire and police jackets I used to make.

And don't forget that original Dawn detergent is great for pretreating grease stains. It it gets the oil of the birds who get coated in the oil spills, it will do the same for your clothes. And denture tablets are very good for food based stains...used them a lot when my mother was getting food on her clothes and her bibs too.
Sheila, thanks so much for the sweet package. Can you email me privately through this website or Larronna@aol.com...I have a Holly Hobbie doll you might want..she jumped into my basket at the senior center thrift shop today.

You are welcome Ronna.
Thanks for the advice on the stain guard products
I love to do a lot of fancy work when I make my Mother-In-laws'
aprons for her
She loves the bib type
She says when she wears them people wants to know where she got them
Hugs Sheila
