We have a buckeye tree near us and have collected a bunch of buckeyes for projects. I'd like to offer a baggie of these for barter. There are about 80 buckeyes in the bag. It's not that I can't find projects to use them for, I just think they're so fun and cool to use that I'd like to share some with someone else! Let me know if you're interested!
Shelia I would be interested in some of these for a project for my students. I've never used them before though. Do you have an idea of a project I could do that would be suited to elementary age kids? Email me!
I think they're a type of horse chestnuts. Things we've made with them. . .garland with beads between, hanging wreath thing from a Martha Stewart book, ornaments (drill through and use beads and wire. . .) ummm...they also just look kinda cool and fall-ish (or Christmassy when you mix in something red or gold) just sitting in a bowl.
