I'm addicted as well. I went to this great fabric store less than a mile from my house today, just for some embroidery thread and I left with some really great fabric to make some aprons with $1.49 yd, and fabric for tote bags. I'm so bad, but it's so much fun. I could just spend hours in there. It's an old school house, School House Fabrics, that is 3 stories tall filled floor to ceiling in every room with fabric.
Sheila,
I live in Floyd and I'm getting ready to start working in Roanoke again after January. Do you have a Chapter? If not you could join ours. We're having a meeting on Tuesday. Nice to see someone on here so close to my home:)
Hugs,
Robin

Hey Robin.
I sent you a e-mail ,
Tis weird you are from Floyd,
Have you been to Fincastle ?
I was wondering ?
AS it is close to Roanoke
It is a old school house converted
into a quilt shop hugs Pinkroses

Hubby has a John Deer; but it is not pink
it is green.
He would never ever allow anyone to have a
pink John Deer on the farm. Ha. pinkroses

Don't you love the smell of the fabric store? I love the rows and rows of bolts. I can spend all day looking at fabric. I wish there was a larger store in Madison. The Ben Franklin store has a small amount in the back. I buy fabric I like. I don't always have a project in mind. So, I have quite the stock pile. Somedays it just speaks to me, "make a flowy top, I would be great as an apron with a flounce." you get the idea, right? This happens to other people, right? Please tell me I'm not crazy.

you are NOT crazy, unless i am too! haha i love fabric and some would say I have too much. my grandma let me have lots of her srap mat. because she no longer does this stuff. She sewed for all 5 kids and did lots more, so there is some really cool stuff. I found 5 or so aprons she had made and even a little dress for her. ( I love wearing this, it's so comfy and not "normal" and it works great when I'm prego. (has extra room in the belly) she even had lots of quilt pieces cut out just need to be put together, only I don't know how. And I love the yo-yos i learned how to make here, they work so good for the small pieces that I just can't bring myself to throw away! fabric is just comfy-like being home!
