I found this site last week and I'm so excited about meeting all of you!

I'm 30 and live on a small family farm with my husband, our two daughters and we just found out Saturday that there is one on the way!

I grew up the grandaughter of a peanut farmer (on one side) and a John Deere mechanic (on the other)and my dad worked in chemical sales for years and years. In high school, I scouted cotton and took soil samples for one of the local fertilizer companies.

We farm about 600 acres (soybeans, peanuts, corn and cotton)- my husband and his dad do the majority of the work but I help out when I can. I have a daycare at our farmhouse and stay busy with that.

Here are some pictures from our farm so that y'all can know me better!

Welcome, Jennifer!

Beautiful pictures, and congrats on the new baby on the way!

Where is Waverly, VA? Duh, your posting said SouthEast VA but I am geographically challenged...nearest large town/city??

We're about one hour from Richmond and one hour from Norfolk, just off of Hwy. 460.

We're also across the James River from Williamsburg.

Thanks for the welcome! I don't think it will take long at all for me to feel comfortable here.
