Hi farmgirls, This isn't a recipe, it's a recommendation. My DH & I love curry (mild to medium) & while I do have a recipe I'll list some other time...the recommendation is Seeds of Change Certified Organic Tikka Masala Simmer Sauce and we could eat this 3 or 4 nights a week!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! It's simple! Cooking instructions from the jar say: Saute 1 lb of your favorite meat, fish or tofu until done, add sauce, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Yoila, Dinner. Serve with rice, naan, vegetables, and a generous helping of thanks. Well, let me tell ya, it would be super served with MaryJanes Organic Lebanese Peanut Bulghar or MJ's organic Falafel, or the Organic Lentil Pilav, or one of MJ's rice mixes. I've served over Kashi's 7 grain pilaf before.
The only thing I didn't know about was a veggie to go with it. I've found and tried 2 recipes, liked them and can recommend. I'll list those recipes seperately. If you're familiar with these types of flavors...you'll enjoy. If not familiar with them, the aroma & flavors are aromatic Indian spices of cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, ginger & some others. Hope you'll try the different Seeds of Change simmer sauces and post your response! ENJOY!

A yeast raised East Indian flat bread with a delicious chewy texture. I don't have a recipe, but saw one if you want me to look it up and post it here.

Chandra,
So glad to read your post. DD and I had lamb masala at an Indian resturant and loved it. I found the Seeds of Change simmering sauce at Whole Foods Market, but haven't tried it yet. Do you think it could be used in a crockpot? |

Hi Jennifer I'd recommend watching the temp of the crock pot. This sauce sticks to the skillet easily if the heat gets anything over a simmer. It might just cook to the sides of the crock, but boy howdy does that sound like a great idea! You go girl, experiment, but maybe keep an extra jar on hand, just in case. :)
