Since money has been "ahem" tight (and gets no better this week with the car in the shop), I printed out the Hillbilly Housewife recipes for cups of soup, bought all the stuff (under $10.00) and I've had the best warming soups the last few days. There are so many recipes that you don't tire of the same old, and I feel satisfied. Plus, they're REALLY low in calories, so I feel like I'm achieving something all the way around.

If anyone else has tried them, I'd like to hear your view. My fave so far is the chicken curry soup, but then I'm a curry nut

Hey Jonni, is there a thread about the Hillbilly Housewife recipes or is it a link? I love soups...always looking for something new to try.

I got the link from one of the girls, here. Let me see if I can dig it up....

Her webpage is a wealth of information on being frugal. Some things I can do, some I can't.
