I'd like to give a cyber hug to all the amazing farmgirls I met in Georgia and Kentucky during my recent visits there.
Late last night the phone rang. (I normally don't answer our phones but I answered it because it was so late--I thought it might have been an emergency). Low and behold, it was a farmgirl I had met in KY who was sitting with my book in front of her and wanted to order more. She is also part of a group of women who paint HUGE quilt murals on barns throughout KY. She agreed to send me more information about how it is they actually do it. Stay tuned. My barn is next in line. Their murals are stunning!
A farmgirl believes in the strong arms of friendship, community, and the just plain fun of being together. A farmgirl exudes kindness, grace, humility, gentleness, patience, and generosity, and loves the simple pleasures in life.
Look for my new book, "MaryJane's Stitching Room," in bookstores now. Coming next in 2008: "MaryJane's Outpost Guidebook - for Cultivating Your Inner Wild." |
