Hi,

Just wondering if any of you have a skirt or skirts that you don't use or need, and would like to barter for something else you can use?

My sister needs at least one skirt for church when she does the readings. She's a 2X, and since she's only 5'3" they shouldn't be really long, unless they are a pattern that she can shorten the hem on.

I'd be willing to barter, placemat sets or (fill in your blank here)..thanks!

Let me check. I gained a bunch of weight and now am back down to a size large or big medium and was sorting through things to send off to the family shelter, but I have a LOT of clothing...so I'll pop back on sometime tomorrow or Sunday with a few things =)

Thanks, all!

Tina, I looked at the site you posted, and it's terrific! I ordered a couple of great things for my sister (got that Christmas shopping checked off!)...alas, no skirts, so maybe Annika will come through!

Jo, unfortunately, what I have left in that size are mostly dresses, which I would be glad to send. I was briefly 3x+ and have a suitable skirt that is 4, but would take to a drawstring being put in rather well. It is a White Stag rayon skirt, long and of a pale wheat colour. I will keep looking as I sort. I have three dresses, a rose Tencel that is sleeveless and looks good under a jacket or wrap. It HAD a jacket, but I loaned it to a "friend" and she moved away and never gave it back. I changed size so fast I never got the chance to wear it. Then there is a rose and white gingham with a lace v-inset at the front collar, and a red flower print, which is a 1x but runs large, I think it is poly-cotton. I can send any or all of these items, and if they aren't suitable or don't fit, you aren't out a bundle. If none of it sounds good, that is fine, I will find a new home for them. I hate to admit what a clothes horse I am. I have several other skirts that I am looking for, but I think they are more of the "hippy mama" look , but I will keep looking.

Hi Annika, the dresses might work well for her; she is looking for something to wear at church as she frequently gives the readings. Perhaps the gingham dress and the red flower print (she looks good in, and likes, rose/pink colors and floral patterns). The sleeveless one I am not sure of, I don't think she has a jacket to wear over it but if you want to send all three it might prompt us to find a matching jacket. Otherwise, I think the two dresses would be great, and if you find anything elsecould you let me know? Thanks so much!
I will email you offline for arrangements...

Jo, I didn't, could you just resend it. We've been having computer problems, and it might have gotten lost in the muddle. Some how I'm ending up with a bunch of spam but missin' my mail (? go figure huh?) I'll pay the UPS or other post cost. I wish I had more skirts for you.

Niki, thanks so much for the gorgeous skirt you sent! I know that my sister will love it.

Amanda, thanks anyway, for checking with your mom.

Annika, I will resend the email; hope you get your spam filter straightened out soon!

Again, thanks everyone!
