I love looking at those wonderful homemade mixes for all kinds of goodies in canning and other unusual jars - why not have an exchange of them among ourselves? It will give us all a change to show our creative side. If you are interested - drop me an email - Let's make the due date for all participants mid November - what do you think?

Anything and everything in a jar or bottle? Tinctures, pickles, that sort of thing?

I have a good recipe for Lemon Dill Dip Mix to which you add sour cream and mayo for a great dip. I took a jar for each of the farmgirls that met MaryJane in Georgia recently. I wrote the recipe to make the final dip on a piece of circular parchment paper and placed it under the jar ring along with a country piece of fabric. You need 1/2 pint jars.
Lemon Dill Mix
1/3 cup dill weed 1/3 cup dried parsley 2 tbsp. Lemon Pepper 1 tbsp. dried mustard 1 tbsp. garlic salt 1 tbsp. celery salt 1 tbsp. onion flakes (optional)
Mix together well in a bowl. Using a canning funnel (with a wide mouth), fill a clean 1/2 pint jar. On top of the jar include the recipe:
Mix the following: 2-3 tbps. of dill mix 1 cup mayo 1 cup sour cream
It is great to serve with crackers, chips, or fresh veggies, and it refrigerates well.

Duh, what does bump mean? Also, I figured just to match us up with individual partners and we each pay the postage on our own shipping - is that okay with everyone? I will have to double check to see if you have send me your full name and mailing address - it might not be a bad idea to email it to me privately again with the name of the exchange you are participating in. Things have been hectic here - hubby having some health problems.

Thanks for the compliments, ladies. You make me blush; I am not at all handy with needle or seweing machine, but yeah, I can massage food products really well!
Kathy, I like the idea of matching individual participants, and we can put more than one item in the care package to our matched participant, right?
Count me in, and I will send you my addy.
Oh, and If I understand it correctly, "bump" is just a way to move up, or refresh, the topic if there has been a few days of inactivity, without new postings to keep it near the top of page 1 in that particular forum.

Haven't heard anything yet, but Kathy was posting about her DH's medical tests as well as C-section complications for her cockapoo recently, so hopefully we'll hear from her soon. I'm in no hurry, and Kathy, please know that our thoughts are with you and your DH, and your fur-kids as well!

Haven't forgotten you gals! Just enjoying a slight lull in the activity here. No results on husband's tests yet - I had a dexa scan come back bad and see gyn tomorrow. But the good news is the my little cocker Charlee is fine and back to her good ole self. She is spayed and we lost both puppies but my girl is with me and fine thank God for that, and an excellent vet. Okay, just to be on the safe side- if you are interested in participating in this swap, please email me via this site your name and address and any allergies or anything you cannot eat or do not like. I will wait till all names and address are in and then give you your swap partner.

Okay gals - real quick, if you are intersted in this single partner swap - please email me your name and address so I can match you up - giving everyone who may have missed this one more chance to sign up- does not look like we have too many.
