Today we had to take mom back to the dr to find out the test results. They had said she had lesions on her spleen. I was totally shocked. Her spleen was clear, but she has lung cancer. They said surgery was not an option and mentioned chemo and radiation. But mom is not planning on doing anything. She's just tired and wants to be left alone, no more dr.s. I am just devastated as is my sisters and my father, moms sisters. She is such a big part of my life. Please pray for a miracle, or rather let us pray for Gods will to be done. I'm a mess, and I need to be strong for her and my younger sisters and my brother and my daddy. I'll go for now and hopefully will check in soon. Blessings to you all and thanks for all you've done! You are such a comfort as my recent days have been so dark.
~~Blessings, Mikki Jo

Oh Mikki Jo, I'm sooo sad to hear about your Mom's diagnosis. I know how news like this can shake you to your very soul! My Mom was my best friend and the core of our family so when we learned of her terrible health problems, it was devastating to say the least. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Wish I could do or say more to help you. Love and hugs, Lu

Mikki- Oh sweetie....You are all in my thoughts tonight, more than anything I am wishing you and your family time together to process the shock of this news and to enjoy one another, hard as it may be. These times often create the opportunity to grow closer together in spirit despite the terrible outlook from the Dr's- who may or may not be right. Whatever will happen you can take advantage of the time you do have to talk to your mama about the future (yours and hers) and to hear stories of hers from the past. Just love your sweet Mama and help her to relax, either to fight or pass on peacefully when the time comes. We went through a similar shock with my amazing mother in law and in the end the thing that gave her the most strength and energy was to be home surrounded by her family.... Warmly, Rebekka

So sorry to hear about the lung cancer...I do hope she rethinks treatment, but I will be praying for all of you--this is certainly a difficult time. J

Mikki, I am so sorry to hear the bad news about your Mom. If there is a real chance that the treatments could help her maybe she will change her mind after the initial shock wears off. If not, then honor her choice and just love her. I will pray for your Mom and you and your family.I have lost many family members and it is never easy, no matter what the situation. We are all here for you. I have missed you on the site here. I thought it must be your Mom. Please take care of yourself as well.
Hugs and love from Mary Jane

Praying the Lord will heal her - either with a miracle or by being in His presence! A friend of ours recently died from pancreatic cancer and I wonder sometimes if it's worth the nastiness of chemo or if it's better to live your last few months clearly and with dignity?! hard choice to make but it's her choice not yours and I hope that you and your siblings will honor her in that. That being said perhaps she would be willing to try alternative meds? Alkalizing the body through diet, herbs, etc..... much less invasive, tiring and sickening.... just a thought.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Mikki, I am so sorry that you are going through this. I pray that God's peace will be present for each of you as you deal with this. It is hard to understand why these things happen, but I know the only way I can make it through these valleys is by staying close to God and my family.
Hugs & blessings . . . and prayers,
Brenda

Mikki, I am sending comfort, healing and love to your whole family. Don't worry about saying the right things to God to get help. She understands. The important thing is just asking Her into your life. She'll do the rest.
Farmgirl hug, Patricia
