Ok Girls!!
Our Dear Sweet Bev had such a wonderful idea..
& we've had alot of conversations & talking & wondering about it..

So this is the Plan.. Laying it out pretty simple..
We want to have another Chapter With out Border's..
VERY Similar to What Bev had started.. As So many of us are across so many States.. ( Florida to Colorado!! )

But.. I know my limitations.. As I Do work full time outside the home.. I have alot going on at home with some personal things..
( if you all aren't familiar.. i do have a couple of health things that i deal with myself & family members too..)..

So.. as i said.. i ain't afraid to say no.. unless of course it comes to clothes pins!!

ANYWAY.. what i am getting to.. is that it is going to have to be limited.. i know i simply am not Super Woman..

& To devote the time & Attention to any project the way i want to
I know that I have to say no sometimes.. & if this means that i have to say that there will be a set number of Chapter Members.. Then this is what i know has to be..

So what i have thought of is this..
I am asking that anyone that was on the original Apron Thread that is interested in becoming involved in a Chapter with out borders.. please contact me Via Email..

And I am not asking you to leave the Brand NEW Chapter..
Stay put there!
THAT one is going to be Wonderful!! This is going to be seperate.
I've spoken to Bev on the Phone this morning.. you all know we are Great Friends.. But It was just going to be too much for me..
& i knew it simply was not something i would have been able to keep up with everything involved with a Chapter of that size....
So i wasn't able to go with the Big Chapter..
However.. i want to belong to a Chapter.. & take part in all of the Farm Girl goodness that is out there accessible too us With all the resourses available to us..
And yes.. PATCHES too!!

So.. again.. If you had ANYTHING at all to do with the Original
Apron Thread.. & are interested in becoming part of a Chapter.. please email me.. As we will have a list started now..
This means ANYTHING.. You didn't have to be making Aprons girls..
You could have been a regular Drive by that stopped in for Tea now & then to chat & visit.. or commented now & then.. Your welcome here..

& it's just as Friendly as my Swaps are..
So.. if your up to it.. & willing to contribute.. Definatly give me a holler.. because i have no intentions of doing this on my own..
You Will be in charge of SOMETHING!!

Love ya Lots Girls!!

I think we will start to see a few cyber chapters grow...and that is a good thing. There should be something for everyone here. Not everyone is comfortable in a big group and that is ok. I suppose until all of our groups spring up and get established there will be some skipping around to find the perfect fit. Best of luck Kathie.....I am glad you are participating in this idea!!!

Since Iive not been following the happenings on the Apron postings, I missed what happened there, I guess.
I am interested in this idea, need more info. as it develops.
So I'll be watching to see what develops.

Pamela, I missed the Apron thread also.

Is this new chapter like our "Far Away Farmgirls" which is a chapter of ladies that don't have any 'in person' chapters around them??

Hi Kathy! I was not in the apron challege because I have a sick husband to take care of here at home. He had to retire from his job and is now on disability. So sad.
I do plan on making an apron - what I'd like to do is to make a long skirt (to my ankles) and then make a long apron to go over it. That is in my plans.
I would love the idea of being a part of your community, but I understand that there are limitatios. Let me know, and if I get im,let me know what to do. I take instruction very well. I am a chapter leader of ONE. Just me. This is a university town and not much into gardening or other "homesteading" type of activities. I did hang up a laundry drying line outside, and I wash our sheets ahd put them on the on the line to dry. And they smell so good when I bring them in. I also want to make a bonnet for myself for going outside in the sun. Although I have long hair , it usually parts itself, and I get a sunburn on the back of my neck. So one of those bonnets that has that extra shirring at the back, is what I am looking for in a pattern.
Thanks a ton for listening. I'll be waiting to hear from you soon, one way or the other.
Annie

Welcome Annie! I think you will love it here- there are tons of ladies here who share your goals. Sorry to hear about your husband. Disability can be hard on the family as it impacts so many aspects of life. It sounds like you are doing lots of farmgirl things already though! Does your husband like that? Is he a farmboy at heart?

I was not in the orginal apron thread but would love to join this chapter as I love aprons and have a collection. I would like to make a mother hubbard apron like my grandmother used to wear that covered almost all of a person. My husband and I bought my parents 10 acre farmstead and are working on clearing it to build and have a huge garden.
