Happy Birthday to Meggie, BEST BEST daughter on earth, always upbeat, strong, GOOD GOOD hearted. You are the love of my life. I can't imagine being on earth without you. I am soooooooo lucky. I knew the minute you were born, you were PURE luminous light.

Hi meg, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. What a lucky girl to have such a great mom. How are you doing with all the traveling around with the baby? I bet when you were a baby your Mom could fit everything she needed for a week into an envelope. Us hippie girls were pretty good at that. Now I must admit the backpack has moved on to several suitcases. HA.

Thanks, Momma (surprise, you got me sniffling). And thanks girls. I am having a wonderful day so far...the MOST memorable (now I am chuckling just thinking about it)...
As soon as I start this story you can probably guess where it's going...My darling Lucas is, in my opinion, the most romantic hubby around. He is well known for this. What he is less known for is his clutziness, but he may be just as much so.
Anyway...the alarm went off at 530 this morning and I stayed in bed figuring he might just be up to something. Well, around 700 I was awoken to the loudest bang just outside our bedroom door!!!  Yup, you guessed it...As I jumped out of the bed and opened the door the plate (handmade by me for him one year) was shattered and my breakfast in-bed-to-be was everywhere. The funniest part was him peaking around the corner with the biggest grin on his face and saying get back in bed... Moments later he brought me a candle-lit tray with sausage, french toast, fruit salad and FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE, as though nothing had occurred. Good thing he made extra and somehow managed to save the glass of fresh squeezed orange juice from the long fall. We laughed and laughed and Stella slept through the whole event.

Happy Birthday!! What a funny story!! I can see my hubby doing something very similar and just making it wonderful in the end!!

Happy Birthday Meg! Loved your story - as a long time mom and homemaker, my first thought was - I hope they have tile or wood floors! Easier clean-up. Then I thought I hope Stella did not wake up - but nope! So all ended well, and what a cute story.
Now that you have a daughter yourself, you fully understand the love that moms have for their daughters. Your mom said it perfectly and I feel the same way about my girl.

Happy Birthday Meggie .. daughters are such treasures! (I so wish my very own precious daughter, Wednesday, could wander down this way for you all to meet .. but alas and alack! she just started a wonderful job at the Attorney General's Office for the state of OHIO and hasn't 'banked' any leave yet!)
