I have been away so long now, I wont even attempt to catch up. Just wanted to pop my head in and say hello. I think most of you probably know my mom is dying of cancer and I am with her most of the time. My sister in law came this weekend so I could sleep in my own bed a night or two and get some things done at my house. Granted it is just across the road but mom can't really be left alone at this time. If you want to know more what is going on I have been making the occasional blog entry to keep friends up to date.

Anywho, I was looking thru old photos at her house and found this one of my dad. I thought y'all might enjoy seeing it. I just loved that he had on an apron. He was probably 15-16 in this photo.

Morning Susan! I'm glad you were able to take a little break. It's so sad when people leave this life, but we all do, so it's something we all just have to try to see as a natural, regular part of life. Very difficult, but necessary. I'm also glad you are able to spend this last time with your mom--I'm sure it comforts her, and it will be good for you to have the memories, even though painful. Sending prayers and love and ((((hugs)))) to you and your family this morning!

I am sooo glad you popped in- I was praying for you last night and wondering how things were.
So glad you got to sleep in your own bed- it is the small things that make the big things more bearable.
Just wanted you to know you are thought of during this difficult time.
The picture of your dad is fantastic!! So cute -thanks for sharing!
Blessings!!

Susan-

I was just thinking about you!! You are a wonderful daughter and I am so glad you are able to do what you are doing. Whenever you have a free moment to spend with us, we love to hear from you, but we understand your absences as well. Just know you have a lot of dear friends that though we are seperated by distance, still are thinking about you and your mom and wishing for the best for you both. *Hugs*

How good to hear from you, Susan. It's such a great picture of your dad! And how good that your sister in law is giving you a break. It must mean so much to you to be at your own house, off duty for a little bit. You and your mom are in my prayers.

Hi Sweetie.. Glad you were able to say good morning.. Good night from me..
Kiss your Mom for me..

I love this picture of you Dad.. What a sweet photo.. the way the sun is coming in the Window or Kitchen Door from behind him.. & he's just content with what he's doing.. not hamming it up or grinning.. just focused on the stove..
Very Sweet picture isn't it?

Take care of Yourself Little Sister..
Talk to you soon..

Hi, Susan! Just know that our thoughts and prayers are with you here on the Plantation. I'm a little closer to you than most of the farmgirls, so if you need me, just email! I'll be glad to help anyway I can.
