Bev, I've been dealing with contractors and farm sitting these last couple of weeks. I am slowly getting things together here... Hopefully Andrew can read Harry Potter or something to me whilst I sit and stitch. Stupidly, I've been hung up on ruffles and pockets and just haven't gotten my act together...I'm gonna get coal in my Christmas stocking fer sure now

Happy Autumn punkin time!

My apron is ready to be cut out. Just trying to finish up a few outside chores while the weather is still good. Maybe this weekend I can devote some time to sewing. Oh, I hope so!

I looked for the fabric in Houston but no luck. On my way over to Ebay to hunt some down. Is there anywhere else you guys would suggest?

I have my apron cut out and I hope to sew on it today. I used a vintage pattern that I really like, not sure how I will embellish it though.

As soon as I can get some pain meds for the arthritis or what ever it is in my hands, I'll finish my apron...it's already looking cute and I'm adding antique hankie pockets to it just for fun. I'm trying to get to the journal page I really am :(

I love the antique hankie idea Annika. Mind if I copy?
I have a drawer full of them waiting on an idea worthy of them!

I would be delighted to share Autumn! Hankies and frilly napkins make really sweet pockets.
I have been having a bad case of "Oh God! which pattern am I gonna use?????" Silly girl, I just had to walk away and quit angsting over it and I found this really cute Butterick pattern that fits the fabric that I have nicely. I'm plopping a couple of hankie pockets on it and calling it mine! I'm doing "A" because it is just so cute and girlish, with the Blue bee and clover fabric. I'll get photos as soon as the pins aren't sticking me to death =]

Annika,
What a cute pattern! I still haven't had a chance to get to mine. You know how it goes, I have good intentions and some days I can't get to it and then the days I can I think, "I'd better finish this other thing first" and so the little time I get is spent on something else and lo the apron still sits waiting to be sewn. It is cut out so I guess I'm halfway there anyway. Oh I just remembered I need to get that page in the mail too. Finished just need to get out to mail it. Boy, my good intentions seem to go right down the tubes sometimes.

Annika, I really like your pattern. I haven't decided yet what pattern to use. I can't wait to see a picture of you in your cute apron. Thanks for the inspiration.
Denise, I totally understand what you are going through. I am in the same place. Not enough time, and then when I do have the time, I feel like I have to finish other things first. I am definitely going to make time this weekend..(hopefully )

Well, I think that besides distance, lack of time was another part of the reason for the cyber chapter project...so we are just being true to form =)
Good luck to both of you on catching up with everything and turning a blind eye towards incoming disasters until you can get your aprons done it IS a cute pattern and really easy to put together

Thank you ladies for the encouragements

Annika, that pattern is so cute! I feel horrible because I was one of the first people to get the fabric, but I haven't even chosen a pattern yet! Yikes! By the time I get through my pile of mending, and work on some Christmas projects, it's time for bed! Maybe once the holidays are over, I'll be able to get more sewing done.

I don't want to step on any toes, but Spice Berry Cottage http://stores.ebay.com/Spice-Berry-Cottage_ROBERT-KAUFMAN-FABRIC_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ11488320QQftidZ2QQtZkm has all three colors for $5.50 a yard. I bought mine from her and she's a dear to do business with.
