Linda,
Since a fat quarter is half the size of a quarter yard will we swap fat quarters for fat quarters and quarter yards for quarter yards?

A fat quarter is still a quarter yard, isn't it? Just cut differently so that it is more useable in some ways. Maybe someone can define how to cut a fat quarter.

A fat quarter is 18" x 22". A quarter yard is 9" x 45". Actually, a 1/2 yard of fabric will make two fat quarters. I didn't stop to think it out really before I posted yesterday. Sorry.

oops....I knew that fat quarters were just cut differently so thought either would be the same amount, just shaped differently. If you send only fat quarters then that is what you'll get back. There might be a really cute fabric that we'd want to share...that's all I was thinking.

...in my mind I can see taking a whole yard of fabric and cutting it in fourths...by an X...not in slices...make sense? So the fat quarter is square. In other words a yard of fabric is divided into 4 squares...

That's right Linda...a fat quarter is normally around 18 x 22 inches and that's based on 44 inch wide fabic so if you have any fabrics wider than 44 inches you get a "fat fat quarter" LOL

My fat quarters are on their way to PA!!!
I simply cannot afford to procrastinate - so I make a shorter deadline and make myself keep it.
Tks for doing this Linda.

Linda,
I'll have to skip this one. Though I'd rather join in I am doing the quilt block swap and can't find my pattern so..... maybe I'll get to be in on the next one.

The verse is my life verse- it has given me a reminder for 30+yrs that God has His time for everything- seems like I have had to learn that all my life.
I think it(the verse) everyday!!:)

Linda,
Please add me to the fabric swap. No theme correct? So anything goes. I love it! So as soon as I have your address I will send you 6 fat quarters?

Hi swap sistas,
The postage Autumn used is 5 regular stamps. That is $2.05 for postage. Just for our info. Also remember the self-addressed envelope.
I'm looking forward to playing with the quarters and swapping them out for us.
cool!
