I used to have a lovely semi-wild looking front yard. None of the trees had been trimmed in forever and the apple tree was beautiful with low hanging branches.

Well the tree butchers came today and lopped off huge branches and the tops of some of my scrawny pine trees. Now my front yard looks "groomed" and I think it is so sad! The apple tree just doesn't look the same and now I can see my neighbor's yard through the blue spruces. I really liked having a living fence in the front yard and now my fence has huge gaps in it.

I guess my land lord was worried about the ease of mowing the non existant grass. That is what the trimmer, excuse me- butcher-, said! That it would make mowing easier. I wanted to point ot the bare dirt and say "Mowing of what?! Leave my trees alone!" I hope they don't come back tomorrow!

It is so sad when trees are butchered. Selective pruning is sometimes necessary but never topping or just chopping off huge branches. I am sorry for you and for your not so living fence. MB

Oh man what a bummer, we will have to see what we can do this spring to fill it in and have more of a living fence where that crazy grass is suppose to be!!!
