Thinkin' bout something else! Maybe next year (please, please, can we do this next year?????) you could also include a portion of each persons description about their tree--I had NO idea Tracey's ornaments were made of beeswax! Fascinating! I kept thinking....cookie? So, it would be kindof nice to know everyone's "story"...so to speak...that is, if we're lucky enough to do this againg next year!

this sounds olike a good and very fun activity. I really want to give my grandma some christmas ornaments that wont break!!! all our family children play around the living and somehow her sets are always broken!! so this would be a good time to do some sewn ornaments and then gift em away!! how exciting!

Fantastic!! Now, if I can only remember to keep checking back to see what progress there's been about the "rules". (I really don't like rules, you know; but, everything has to be ruled these days. Must be getting countried old.)

This topic is from last year.
This year the farm will not be hosting a Christmas Tree Contest. The farm is very busy putting out our favorite magazine every two months and a few other things that are keeping their lights burning late into the night.
However it would be fun if we all took pictures of our trees and posted them here!

Alee - do you know if the photos from last year will be in the magazine this year? I didn't hear anything new after submitting photos last year.
I have been pondering of what kind of tree to do this year as we do a theme tree each year. At our office, we are doing an "office supply" tree with goofy stuff.

I've always had a "homespun" tree because I like the old traditions. My mom lived on the prairie in S. Dakota when she was growing up and always had a Tumbleweed tree hung from the ceiling and wrapped with white rags because there were no trees around for miles.

I am new to this board, but I am already loving it! I make homemade Christmas ornaments every summer. I give a box of them to all of my siblings, Mom and Aunt. I even put a few in my kids hope chests.
I would love to do this! So would the kids. If this was for 2008 will there be one for 2009?
