Well, I did not vote for this president either....there I said it. I just don't see how it is going to help us.

Jess~I hope hubs is all better today. PO'd mine this morning. It was totally an accident but he was not happy. I love the quote you added. Thanks for the comps on the haircut. It's a bit easier to deal with.
Steph~I emailed you. I would love a copy of that pattern.
Autumn~Can't wait to hear news on the new baby. Praying all goes well.

Yes hubs is all better this morning!
Took the kids to the dentist...why do I always feel like I've been robbed when I leave there?
Picked up a few feeders and waterers for chickens and a ton of rabbit food. Wonder when my chicks are coming in. My sister broke the chick box we put together a few springs ago, so I will do one of those up this afternoon. Gotta get all my feed bins out and cleaned and ready for spring! Somehow a chipmunk got trapped in the corn bin last yr...poor little dehydrated thing!

Jess~we are thinking of getting chicks here, too. I have a catalog. Post pics of the box you put your chicks in~if you can. I felt robbed when I left the dentist, too and we had insurance. Our copay for the three of us was over $200~that didn't even count hubby.
Glad to hear hubs is better. Mine will be home for lunch soon and I hope he's all better.

Good Afternoon Ladies!! Jess, I got your e-mail! I will e-mail you back today just haven't had a chance yet!
Bonne, Thanks for the e-mail! I have been ordering all of the free stuff! So far I have 250 glossy business cards, a return address stamp, 50 over sized postcards, a t-shirt, 10 refrigerator magnets, and pens for $7.45 shipping and I am only half way through the list!!!!!
Jess and Ruth, I hope all is good at home now!
Steph, Your package will go out in the mail tomorrow morning! I apologize, but I missed the mail this morning! My cold has turned into a horrible cough and I spent most of the morning laying on the couch coughing my head off!
Well, I am off to get Isaiah from the bus!!

Good afternoon, ladies!!
I have been running around here like crazy but I am thrilled with all things I got accomplished. I cleaned out my kitchen cabinets and reorganized them. I am happy with how that came out. Moved the microwave cabinet and found more things than I wanted to behind that. Now it's all clean. Pretty much did a complete clean out in the kitchen except for the fridge. I also did three loads of laundry, which most of is folded and put away. Only one more load to do. Then I hit the bathroom and gave that a total deep cleaning. Yeah!! I'm glad it's done and I'm thrilled with the results.
Monica~I hope you feel better soon. Things are ok here.
Stephanie~I saw your comment on Bev's apron giveaway. It was so beautiful. I loved it.
Gotta go~supper is started and I want to get that done so I can work on my embroidery tonight.

Monica, that's ok..take care of yourself first...
Thanks, Ruth...I'm a romantic at heart, that's for sure. I usually approach everything in life with my heart and I guess that accounts for my high spirit most of the time..LOL Reality and logic is for those without an imagination.hehehehe Although it does get me in some tight spots at times but I guess logic can do the same thing.

Ruth, I am with Suzanne, you wipe me out.
The Rescue Mission came today and took away half of what I am donating. I have to wait to donate the rest later. It is easier when it comes to our taxes.
This morning the recycling center took our energy guzzling freezer that we got from my folks about 10 years ago. That will make a huge difference on our energy bill.
I have not done the things that you did Ruth, but I am going through things and discarding, etc. I did get 3 loads of laundry done, with 2 loads folded, and wrestled to make our bed (always a challenge with the king size bed) My dh, son, and I finished the shelves in the garage, so the containers with fabric are now out of our living room (previously in my sewing room, which is now my youngest son's room).
Mil coming in a little over a week and there is too much to do.

Good evening, I am happy to report I have been reunited with my car, and it is running well. Friday is my son Martin's 22nd birthday, so Zan and I went to a couple bookstores to look for a couple books for him. It was so nice to have a car, we went to too many stores but it was fun just to look at things and Zan got a wonderful black wool hat, kind of like a bowler, for $10. It is so cute on her.
We're supposed to get a foot or so of snow tonight and tomorrow, so I think it will probably have to be Friday at the post office, my snow plow guy always comes at night so I know I'm not going anywhere tomorrow. I will be so glad to be putting things in the mail finally. It is just such a relief to be able to drive again. Years ago in our local weekly paper, which features town news from all the towns in Waldo County, there was this wonderful old lady named Millie Wentworth who wrote a column for her town, Waldo. She was always being "transported: to various locations by her sister, Thurzie Poland, or went "motoring" with another sister, Hattie Blood. She was such a hoot, she had a soap collection and would regale readers with all the latest soap gifts she received for various holidays. One time they put a picture of her on the front page of the paper, holding a soap revolver. It was quite the vision! These are the thrills of living on the back roads of Maine. She would also tell us who came over to help carry potatoes down cellar and watch The Waltons afterwards. I miss her column, she died quite a while ago. When I lived in Morrill, a little town not far from where I live now, the woman who reported the exciting news of Morrill it usually consisted of stories about her cat and all the things she had ripped to shreds that week...

Glad you're "mobile" again Karin. Let's hope that's the end of the car problems for you. My mother wrote a column for the Reno paper many years ago. She was paid by the word, so she thoroughly embellished each and every sentence. I have the one describing the baby shower for me, kinda cool. The lady who writes the column for the senior center here does pretty much the same and I have to smile when I read it. If I don't hear otherwise (plane delay in Seattle), I'll be leaving here in a bit less than two hours. still have to dust, vacuum and gather up all the misc bills and such. Oh, and a crazillion magazines that I never seem to catch up with. Need to not renew a bunch of them. |

Karin, so glad you are back on the road again. Even when you aren't going anywhere it's nice to know there is a car out there waiting just in case.
