Bev, the impster, sent me, as a surprise, some of the canning/recipe fabric
like she did an apron from ~is it ever cute! Thanks a bunch Bev! I'm so amazed at the
generosity of farmgals. I mentioned that to my hub last night as I took in the mail and found Bev's pkg,"you know I've given away (locally) so many of the things I make, and rarely get anything in return, but here are a group of gals I've never even met in person, that send me things just out of the blue! It's incredible! " And I've got gifties from Nancy Jo and Sheryl-lyn on the way as well!!! I feel so blessed!! I feel another giveaway on my blog coming on! keep the peepers peeled

| i am gonna have to agree on the farmgirl generosity thing...i give stuf i make away everyday...no one ever give me anything back...not that i am asking for it...but you all know what i mean. But here, everyone is making cool stuff and swapping and sending stuff just because they are sweety pies!!! I just love it..anytime you wanna be my neighbors, just let me know. |

Hey ya'll....how bout this idea.....we all move to the same location and be neighbors.....ya know, you never get to pick yoour family or your neighbors....so we could have our own farmgirl town!!!
OMG I just got back to my room at the resort we are staying in....this place is freaking amazing. They have this wildlife habitat area....unreal. Jack is in class all day so I hopped the shuttle and went out investigating. Went to an area here called their Wildlife Academy....got a tour....fed a baby ZEBRA with a bottle. Also bottle fed baby pigs.....held a tarantula and a scorpion...yikes!!!

I am hanging out all by myself...but I am having a blast. Have not even had time to do the hand stitching that I brought with me.
On another subject, it is true, there are a bunch of very generous gals here....makes it so much fun...this random acts of kindness thing....mail from all over the country, etc. I get so excited for the mailman and I get so excited when I send something out....waiting for it to arrice at its final destination!!!
You all are becoming some of my better friends....isn't that weird....I have not even met most of you and yet feel closer than a lot of people I have known for a very long time.....go figure!!!

Well...thanks to nay, i figured out how to post comments on blogs, so i finally got to post on sunshine's thread..yay!! Love your aprons!!!
Bev...if you do that pattern, make it at it's largest size, and make the pockets much bigger, and the way you put the front together will need tweaking. have fun with it. glad you had fun today!

Jess, I really like the apron with orange...colors are great.
I made that pattern also and the pockets were way too small. I would suggest a bigger pocket for sure. The idea I wanted was something to use fat quarters on..I made it reversable with each section different on both sides...it was a real challenge to make that way, but I'd do it again with lots of print flowers preferably. I sent it to Stephanie for the artful apron swap and I will see what Grace...Katmom, does with it for embellishments...
I know ya'll want to see pics...I bought a digital camera, but it didn't have the card to insert for the pics! now got to go find that. I could get a disposable and run around taking everything I ever made since joining farmgirls and then have them to post for ya.! :-D

Kathie, is it too hot for shawls in your area? I don't see any comment on my blog~or don't you like me? LOL These shawls are more decorative than protective from the elements.

& too dang Funny!! i had JUST posted a comment on your Blog, right before I'd come back to the apron thread after Jess emailed & ripped me a new one..
& it DOES get chilly here believe it or not.. It's low 50's tonight..
My husband just kicked the heat on for me..
I am always so dang cold.. right now my hands & nose are like ice..
When we go to bed My husband Insists on wearl long pjs all year long because i'm always sticking my cold feet between his legs!
But here at work the office is ALWAYS freezing!.. so even in the summer.. I bring a sweater or jacket to work!.. Crazy huh?
a few years ago i made us all little Fleece blankies for here at our desks for Christmas.. but we keep them here all year long..
Aparently the computers prefer the chilly atmosphere..
( we don't matter of course!)
Usually it seems that the coldest month for us in Florida can be February though.. & from the humidity.. we get this nasty damp bone chilling cold!
it's REALLY ucky!
ok.. well that was OUR weather report!
