I will try to post pics of everyone else in their costumes...I ended up making or gathering parts for costumes for about 20 kids. The kids I do not have pics of I will have to take pics of the costumes as they are returned over the next few days! |

Boy, trick or treating has been so hit or miss anymore. Last year was fairly busy but this year only 1 group of 6 middle schoolers. 1 group!!! Hubby says I need to make an apron from the Pin-Up Witches fabric. In fact he insisted! LOL where's Georgann when you need her advice??!! :(

I can't believe the price! We could all start making our own recycled shopping bags and help the planet at the same time...but why make them rich at the same time?? wow

I went to the ecobags.com site.... thanks for the info! since I crochet I see that it could easily be made with cotton yarn. Perhaps we could start a new thread about how to make bags .... for shopping, recycling.. etc. I have seen a free pattern from the cotton yarn also. What do you think Sharon? A topic of this? I also have seen a site on how to crochet the plastic shopping bags into things...

Linda, I think that it is a good idea. Many of the supermarkets are not using plastic bags anymore. I go to a store, and they give incentives for individuals who bring in their own bags. They have a weekly drawing for $25.00 free groceries. I haven't won yet, but hope to.

ooh ladies...I gotta tell ya..the new "Inspirations" hand embroidery magazine is out...and oooh lala...it is a beeeauty...projects(with how-tos for the stitches, and other parts, including the fringe on the pincusion that is embroidered on the one bag) from a beautiful baby blanket to a silk ribbon embroidered purse, a beaded poppy, tambour work, a pretty pin, another bag, and monogrammed pilow, along with articles on Turkish Lace, keeping the needlework tradition alive, and sooo many beautiful pictures...well worth the $13.95...way fun stuff...that was my treat last night...hehe...
