Will one of you ladies who has MJ's Ideabook either post or e-mail me the recipe for Crackly Pear Cake? I have the book, but it's in storage.
Thanks! Faith

Press one cup of the mixture over the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of the pan. 3. Whisk together the milk, eggs, almind extract, lemon zest, 3T of flour, and baking powder. Stir remaining crumb mixture into the liquids until blended but still a bit lumpy. Fold in pears. Pour into pan. 4. Thanks, Mumof3!
I made this for my husband last September and he LOVED it.
Apples would probably work just fine. I'd try granny smith, empire, jonagold, or cortland apples for baking. (based on the recommendation of an apple cake recipe I have) I'd love to hear how it turns out if you try!
