Got a nice book yesterday about PANTRYS,ordered it used. Wish I had a real pantry. We had one at home, had a window in it and a flour bin, all those pantry things. Finished up a few embroideries, and added a few things to my outside fall cart. NANCY JO

I forgot about the Pantry Book! Pantries will always have a special place in my heart. When we lived on White Lake in Canada when I was small,we lived in a 3 story log house. It had the most beautiful pantry I have ever seen. I went in there all the time. It fasinated me. There were shelves filled with jars of canned everything, jams and pickles, fruits, tomatoes you name it! Special places for flour and spices, all my Grandma's wonderful sweets were kept in there. It was a big one and had so many things in it. I have always vowed if I ever get another house it will for sure have a big pantry! What memories.

Thank you Cheryl and Tammy. Mary Jane, would love to see that pantry you are talking about. To bad there isn't a picture of it someplace. NANCY JO

Nancy Jo, I would trade eery kitchen cabinet I ever had for one pantry. I used to love my grandmothers and aunts' ones in Hartford. I'm so nostalgic these days. Fall does that to me. Get to thinking about my childhood and back to school (I was one of those crazy kids who loved school) and then it all comes back.
Thanks for sharing and prompting some good memories.
Farmgirl hug, Patricia
