Wanna trade? I am cleaning out my closets!

- a cute half gallon glass milk bottle I bought from Alee, I just have too many;) This one has red printing that says Brunstad's Dairy Farm Chippewa Falls, WIS- great for making sun tea in!

-a simple wooden drop spindle from Magic Cabin- for beginners, I just never got the hang of it. I may include a bit a wool roving too if it turns up;)

-two little primitive homespun pillows- perfect for a dolly or little one
the first is a square patchwork pillow in blues and greens, about a
hand wide and the second is rectangular in burgundy and tan with an
embroidered inset that says "every time a bell rings an angel gets
their wings" and a little angel

I am always looking for beeswax (anything really), a vintage autumn tablecloth- rectangular or oval, cloth napkins and kitchen linens in natural tones (earthy orange, leaf green, brown or natural), hand spun wool yarn, and embroidered pillowcases, natural kids toys etc....
feel free to suggest a trade if you like;)

Warmly,Rebekka

Hi Cyndi!

I would adore to trade you just about anything for some of your beeswax! Or even buy it from you. Could you list some things you might like or a price per pound for beeswax? I am going to show our chapter up here how to make beeswax lotion and furniture polish so I need about 3lbs.

Thanks!

Alee

Alee,
I'm a fiber nut, so anything to do with spinning or weaving (or sheep) always gets my interest.

Just checked and I have about a quart jar 7/8 full of raw wax (and honey) and some I've cleaned in a metal can - maye about a pound in that can.

You can get some nice beeswax for an excellent price at www.dadant.com It's a beekeepers supply house and have excellent beeswax prices.

Hmm- I don't have any fiber stuff and while that site looks great- their wax is rather expensive. I might just have a place in Wyoming ship it to me. They sell it for 2.50 a pound and it is great quality.

Thanks!

Cyndi-
I just opened the box you sent me! I could not believe it when all that lovely hand spun yarn came spilling out- it is beautiful and I can't wait to try dyeing it as well. The soaps smell so good (I think my favorite is the oatmeal honey), it was my girlfriends 40th birthday tonight and I took a bar to her and she loved it. Thank you so much for the wonderful package, it really made my day.

Rebekka Mae,
It was my pleasure! I received the box from you on Saturday. The milk jar looks good with the rest of my jars. The pillows are adorable! I took the drop spindle to the Prairie Days we were demonstrating at yesterday. It was nice to have a spare spindle to let children try their hand at spinning. I don't trust them to use the 2 wheels I took yesterday!

Thanks so much for the trade.

Wow, it's been a while since I've been on Dadant's site. Yikes! They sure raised the prices on their beeswax! It use to be $2.35 a pound if you were ordering just a pound and the prices went lower the more you bought.

Sorry for the bad lead. So glad you were able to find it for a good price elsewhere
