I just started up a new Farm Girl chapter for Hill, Bosque, Ellis and McClennan counties in Texas. This includes everyone from Waxahachie, Clifton, Whitney, Waco, West and Hillsboro and anyone near enough and willing enough to drive to the Hillsboro area for meetings.
Hill County (and some of the neighboring counties) are known for growing cotton as one of its most important agricultural crops and its annual fair (in Hillsboro) is called the Cotton Pickin' Fair in honor of this history. Following that wisdom, I've named our chapter (for now) the Cotton Pickin' Farm Girl Chapter...
I'd like to not only invite folks to join the chapter but also to plan on meeting at the Texas State Fair in Dallas. At this point, I'm looking at Friday, October 12th as the day to meet... This may change.
For more information, please go to the chapters pages and search for our chapter, or just email me and send me your contact information.
