Mandi - What a fun piece of mailart I received yesterday. I loved the picket fence and flowers - so summery! I appreciate the time it took to make such a detailed card. I know how busy a mom can be - apology not necessary for delays, I'm still working on June myself. .

To tell on myself or not? Well I didn't make the card....I bought it! I ran out of time, I'm sorry! Oh the shame! It was so cute though wasn't it? I did make July's though I promise. There I said it no more guilt! Thanks Kim I am glad you got it. Don't love it any less because it was store bought please. It is close to what I would have made if I hadn't run out of time minus the perfection thing.

Mandi - How could I love it any less? In fact I love it and you more because you are so honest about being busy. I wish life was just a stroll in the park for us all, but we all have work and babies and hubbies and animals...well, the list goes on and on. You took the time to select a handmade card and send it to a fellow farmgirl to brighten her day. That just spells l-o-v-e to me. All gestures of kindness are accepted and appreciated for the thoughtful gift that they are. Regardless if they are seemingly late, handmade or store bought. I'm sorry you had to waste one minute fretting or feeling guilty. After all, we are all in this together and doing the best we can with what we've got. Sometimes we forget in our attempts to do it all and perfectly that even "small things done with great love" can move mountains and fill hearts.
....gotta run now, I have to finish & mail June and July!

Kim - aka the Handmaiden - thank you so much for the note and cute post-it-notes. It was a bright spot in my mailbox otherwise filled with sales flyers and bills. St. Louis is a great place to visit - only I wouldn't recommend it right now. Very hot and humid with impromptu thunderstorms popping up at a moment's notice!
Hope your summer goes well, with lots of fun projects!

cheryl~ I just sent you an email. A new list goes out at the beginning of each month. So, we'll get you added!
Stella Raye and Kim, I received the loveliest of mail art! I know it's kind of dorky but I am thinking I might start a mail art wall. They are all so beautiful and different too. Although, Kim's are already tagged on Stella's diaper bags. I have a pink and brown bag and a really colorful one, what are the odds of both tags matching so perfectly? And, Stella Raye's is going in Stella Jane's baby book.
You gals are all so wonderful.

Meg, I'm so glad they matched! I know it really doesn't matter, but I like it when it does. I do have a Mailart wall of sorts. It's a very large bullentin board. Just love glancing at it - makes you smile all over. Thinking about adding cork to the outside of the closet door for this reason. I saw it done and it was really adorable! Alee glad yours arrived too!

Sherone-
I am sure you will recieve mail art soon! I get about maybe 6 pieces a year, so it just depends on how active other people are.

I was wondering does a new list come out every month? I sent my information to you Meg, did you get it or do I need to resend it? Thanks, Denise

Just had to write to let you girls know the beautiful album Cheryl sent me for September's Mail Art. My, was I speechless (and that in itself is unusual as I can never stop yakking!) when I opened the envelope. How I wish I have a camera so you ladies can see this work of art!
Thanks again Cheryl. |
