Any Spokane farm girls familiar with the "Vintage Truffle & Tea Shop" over on 101 E. Nora (corner of Division & Ruby)????
I called & they have what they call a "5 Course French Tea". Reservations are a must and cost approx. $20.00.
Just thought I would see if any of you have been there?

Going to tea is an expensive treat usually . I have paid a minimum of 17 dollars when we have gone. So does not sound too out of line. I have seen places where it will cost you more, alot more.... Man I need to open my tea room, LOL Have fun

Rosemary, yes they mentioned the Mariage Freres Tea, but I am not familiar with that type of tea.
I have had High Tea @ the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Pasadena, which included a flute of Champange w/a strawberry. And there was a Harpist playing in the tea room. It was delightful, that was by far the nicest High Tea that I have been to, but it was only 3 courses. The cost was $32.00.
But most other tea parlors that I have been to range from $8 (just for a pot of tea) to $24 for the full 3-course. Still love it.
Amy, if I could figure out a way that you, Georgann & I could open a tea cottage, oh how much fun would that be!, but I think the commute for the 3 of us is a bit far! lol!
But I will continue to dream about my "perfect tea cottage" where ladies can mingle over a cup of tea, soft music in the back ground, and a feeling of relaxation and calm, sprinkled w/a bit of giggles & lots of companionship.
Pinkies up ladies.
On that note, I look forward to my first copy of the new "Victoria" magazine. Hopefully they will do lots of articles on teas like they use to in their eariler editions before they got to the point of more ads then articles.

Okay, I finally looked this up. There is a Victorian Tea at the E.J. Roberts' Mansion in Browne's Addition, starting in the fall. It is five courses and is $25 + tax/gratuity. It looks like a total "themed" experience. I thought the Glover Mansion had the occasional high tea also, but I think if I have seen it, it has been advertised for special occasions...anyhow, here is a link to the E.J. I haven't been to high tea at any of these places. Only really been to one at the Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC, but that was years ago....
I can go any Saturday except the first Saturday of the month. This will be fun! Judy

Hi, FarmGirls!
Well, since I had left my number with EJ Roberts Mansion, they called me with the dates they have set for their Victorian Teas served by staff in Victorian costume. They are:
Sunday 16 September
Friday 19 October
Saturday 20 October
Wednesday 14 November
Saturday 17 November
Thursday 13 December
So if it is decided to go to EJ Roberts, then those are the days for the rest of this year. The time is from 1:00-3:00 PM and it is $25.00/per person, $27.15 with tax. I presume then, that a gratuity is on top of that.
Just thought I'd let you all know.
I'd be happy with Vintage Truffle or Brambleberry or???
