I think there is something wrong within those people's lives who live like that. That isn't meant to be a judgemental statement- just a statement of fact. Some people get depressed or hurt or whatever so they just have it build up on them. Once it gets to much it can just be to hard to deal with. Of course there are those exceptions of people who just don't care about cleanliness.
Ok....I'm watching the BBC show, "How Clean is Your House?" and I'm officially grossed out! This has to be one of the filthiest homes I've seen...and I watch other house cleaning shows. I don't mean to judge, but I don't know how people could live like that! Makes my home like June Cleaver's!

Most of the people are genuinely thankful for the help, but there have been a few that don't make any effort at all to change or keep up the work. It certainly always put the fire under me to go clean. After watching that show, if I see clutter I think "Oh No! Maybe this is how it starts!" so then I have to clean it up! LOL
