I finally broke down and made a little something to go on the windows in the sun room. It gets to be 105 degrees in there during the day. The sun from 2pm until it goes down just beats in the windows, so I covered these, which wasn't easy because they were 135 inches long! The others are just goign to get some cute lace or sheers stuff on them.
I know I know they're only stuck up there with tacks, and eventually if I find a curtain rod, I will make some tabs to hang them by.
I used an only sheet from the thrift store. $1.00 window treatment!

I like the sheets from the thrift shop. I wash them a few times, and use plenty of fabric softener to kill any smells. I just really really needed to cover up those windows, that's a lot of sunlight coming in, and it's just an OVEN in there! |

I like the way they diffuse the light. And the view out the window. Looks perfectly staged for daydreaming. Hope it helps stay cool and comfy. How nice to have such lovely light. :)

Cristine, I am proud of you too!! I am looking for new ideas for curtains and usually make the tabs kind but pins like this is a great quick way to do it! This helps me inspire me with new redecorating I am doing here. :-) Linda
Easy does it,one day at a time by the grace of God. Amazing grace how sweet the sound. Linda in PA |

A farm girl is resourceful. What a smart idea! Aren't you happy there are thrift shops around that you can get inspired and do something like this - for cheap.
What's on the other side of the windows outside? Looks very nice and peaceful as does the sun room.
Good job, Cristine.
Peace and love, Annie |

Hey, Christine. They look nice. If those sheets have a channel in the hem at one end, you can hang them with a tension rod. No more sewing and no need to screw anything into the wall either. I've got old sheets or linen tablecloths hung that way on most of my windows. |

I like it alot.. Won't take away from anything else that youi want to do.. & then later if you want to add a valance or anything else.. you still can.. They will STILL match any other enhancements you do!
Great idea girl!
