Finally got my staples out as the end of my "cherry tree dilema."
I had myself all whigged out. Do you ever do that, where you build things up in your mind and then are surprised when they aren't nearly as big of a deal as your think?!
In my mind I imagined the doctor tugging and yanking trying to get the staples out of my head and in reality they just popped right out and it took only about a minute! It was a piece of cake. I drug my poor hubbie along to help me "deal with the fear" and he just sat and grinned. He is a paramedic, so I am sure he was thinking I was being a baby! Once I realized how easy it was, I felt rather silly for insisting he comes. Next time I have staples (Which I pray is NEVER!)I will at least know that having them out will be a piece of cake. I can finally brush my hair again! What a nice feeling that is!
Hugs & blessings,
Brenda

Brenda, What a good feeling that must be, not only that they are gone but that the procedure itself is over. I do the same thing, worry myself crazy then it turns out fine, why do we do that? Now remember no more bad things are going to happen, you have had enough turns. NANCY JO

my daughter had staples a few years back from tipping over a wing back chair and hitting a coffee table on the way down. It is pretty cool it too all of 5 seconds or so a staple and not even a wince from a 2 1/2 year old. But she remembers it very well still if someone rocks the chair she is in she says stop it I don't want to crack my head open again. She only cracked the skin but head wounds and a bleeding disorder don't mix well so there where actually 4 nurses 3 doctors and a firemen checking her out to make sure she was ok. A little over kill.
have a lovely day and may God bless you and keep you safe my bloghttp://sunshinescreations.vintagethreads.com/ my web store http://vintagethreads.com/ |

I am so glad your staples incident went so painlessly! I just shudder to think about having things like stitches and staples. I have only had stitches once and that was because of giving birth!!

I'll bet it's great to have them out = that gross what Georganne said - that sometimes they can get grown over!

Thanks everyone. Sorry, I didn't save them . . . let the doctor wastefully throw them away . . . so no crafts or batteries (still trying to figure out how staples make batteries . . . Michelle, you are such an obvious teacher! LOL!) Other than I can "feel" the incision, no one can see it, so things are definitely moving forward.
Hugs & blessings,
Brenda

:) Always so good to read your laughter, Brenda. I meant however you spell the things you hold your hair back that sparkle and look glamorous. Now, batteries would be interesting. But ick. A bit too Frankenstein's monster. Though Halloween is coming. I'd have been glad to see them go away too. Just remembered a snippet of our conversation about your pretty hair decorations. :) What do they call those folks who tell your future from the bumps on your scalp? Now, they would certainly tell you to avoid ladders. And leaky pipes. Gosh, too awful to think that so much of your struggles could tie to mold. Yikes.
