1 cup dry mustard 1 cup sugar 1 cup canning salt 1 cup water 1 gallon cider vinegar 1 heaping teaspoon alum Fill your jars with sliced cucumbers Mix all together and pour in jars shake and turn jars for seven days. Keep in cool place..

do these taste like mustard? sweet? sour? if anyone can give me their opinion, i'd be grateful!

If you ever had mustard pickles they taste like the real thing. This recipe is very old. countrygirl

Hey country girl We make something similar here, but we add cauliflower, red peppers, onions and cucumbers. WE LOVE them!!! on meat, rice, potatoes, meat pies etc YUM YUM!!
