I laid down on the couch with Nora to let her nurse and woke up 3 hours later! My how time flies when you nap! LOL

I hadn't realized that I was so tired! I went to a Champane lunch with two my friends at the Best Western University Inn here in town- YUM! Oh my word! I had everything from roasted potatos to Prime Rib to some yummy breakfast item that I can't remember the name of- it had a crepe like pastry on the outside, a sweet citrus fruit glaze on the outside and ricotta cheese on the inside. Oh my gosh! mmmm...

I also had fresh pineapple and some chocolate dipped strawberries from their chocolate fountain. They even had a desert table that I was just too full to pick from.

And to drink I had a Mimosa. Yummy :)

Good thing I had to free tickets! :)

Oh yes! I forgot to mention something- we fell asleep watching a movie and when I woke up a new show was on. It was about Coma victims and their recovery. I had to turn it off because it seemed so sad to see those families desperatly trying to help their relatives. It was heartbreaking. Watching some of those shows makes you want to hole up in your house and never leave- or perhaps I just have an over-active imagination.

I understand there are things I can't watch either. DH was in a coma with the head injury 17 years ago. It is a tough go. There was a guy on his floor who had been in a coma for 6 years, people treated him as if he was there, talked to him extra. That moring the nurse went in and said Hello and He said hello back. She screamed and then hugged him. Long process for him back to recovery but way col.

Carol Sue-

How long was your husband in a coma for? So the guy that was in a coma for 6 years snapped out of it? wow! That is amazing! All the people they were showing were non-vocals at first. They were having a hard time doing even the smallest things- like moving fingers and toes. And one lady had uncontrollable muscle jerks. It was really sad because she was only 19.

Dan was in coma for 3 days which was an absolute miracle and semi coma for 3 weeks. There are degrees of comas and what happens. Dan had to learn how to talk, walk and many other things all over again. Patrick, I think that was his name, had a long long road to go after he woke up learning how to do things all over again.
You learn a lot going through those kinds os experiences, that is for sure.
