Well Beverly I tried to comment on your beautiful blog but it wouldn't let me. Beautiful Mo. As you well know, since you have other horses, a horse will always test you and if they sense any timidity they will surely push that envelope. that is why the little kids could climb all over him--no fear. Once Mo knows you are the boss .........Have fun. MB

Well I hope the next ride goes better. I just went riding with a friend yesterday that was on her driving horse and she said both her driving horses have really hard mouths when you ride them because of driving. Could this be the problem? She had the reins wrapped around her wrists some how, I think in an effort to make it easier to guide her.

Hi Bev!
I love you blog and writing style! I was cracking up reading your commentary on the ride.
Just a question- Do you know how to do the emergency stop?

Alee....yes, but at a full gallop in a tight area, I did not have the area to turn circles to slow him down. Well, anyways, to update you, I think the first experience was because he was so new. Today I had him out and he rode like a dream...I was very light on the reins and he responded just with my subtle body movements and voice command.....I think he is going to be a real dream afterall! Thanks for your suggestions.

Bev- I am glad he is responding better to you today. Maybe he just needed to be reminded to have manners when under saddle? He seems like such a sweet boy- and I love the pictures you posted of him. He looks like he has great movement.
