There are some really cute old vintage FRENCH sewing patterns for girls on ebay I am eyeing... My oldest daughter speaks French... The pattern is a little short boxy jacket sized 12yrs... (they are sized by the age of the child) Does anyone have any experience using foreign vintage patterns?

I don't but I have noticed with Vintage clothes I have purchsed, I always thought they ran small.

I don't have any French patterns but I have a few German ones.
I agree with Kim, they tend to run small.
In general, I think Europeans just wore things "a little closer to the body." This may have something to do with shortages during WWII and after. Europe took a lot longer to recover than we did.
