Okay sunshine when I finish one is the size about 2 inches across, that is what this first one turned out following directions. Wasn't hard, kinda fun for that matter, I will have yo yo's dancing through my dreams.

Now I am in major trouble, yep yep, Jessica, will be having a yo yo day today, and love them under glass.... Okay may become yo yo crazed....yes I know I am a nut already
Hey ya want to hear something cool, My mom sent me some yo's yo's a little over a month ago. There were made by my mom's Grandma King, by her sister Juanita, who passed away at 19, by my mom. There were done in the late 1940's when my mom was ten and here sister was twelve and Grandma King was about 90. Isn't that way cool. I am going to sew them together and put them in a picture frame with the history. One of the yo yo's is made out of fabric that my mom repurposed and made me a painting smock when I was in kindergarten. I have one of those for my yo yo's, it was one of grandmothers dresses I think is what Mom said. Cool, huh..... Carol Sue

Sweet story Carol Sue. Bet the fabrics are wonderful! I also put all my yo yo's in glass jars. They are the first thing I see when I walk into my craft room! My sister just had surgery and guess what I am mailing her? Yes, a Mason jar filled with yo yo's of her favorite colors ! I KNOW she will love them! Great picture Sunshine!

My grandmother had demenita in her last several years. Funny but she always recognised me but not always my mom who saw her every day. Yes, I admit I am an addict, if you could only see the sewing room right now!!!! You would be laughing your head off, Oh how I love those glass jars with yoyo's....

Hi sewing "sisters", I realized that I need to say something to help you get to know me! I love the pics of yoyos. I made clown dolls with them the first time I learned. That was in the hospital for depression...30 years ago. Craft therapy...I loved it! I knew that they were a very old craft tradition and remembered how easy to make them after all these years. Something about the bright colors, the connection with you gals who are doing the same thing and trading with me....helps my moods these days. I have 30 done now but I think I'll have to make more so I can keep some of my own colors....LOL Thanks to you gals who are sending the pics! inspires me that much more. I hope we keep doing this for awhile because it will take alot for me to make the bedspread cover that I want now.... :-) Linda in Scranton, PA

I'm working on mine - almost half way! Yo-Yos do look cool in a glass jar. I made a valance for my kitchen window using yo-yos sewed together to look like flowers. It's fun to see it when I'm standing at the sink. They are also addicting - it seems once I get started on one or two I just keep on going...

oops! I lost the address to send the yoyos. I have 50 done! Didn't take long at all. I have to rest my sore back and it helps the time pass while sitting. Better than surfing internet or boring tv. :-) I think this email went to the forum. Send me the address again? thanks Linda in PA

CKH ( sunshine's kid) took two kids too hemophillia camp today on the 3 hour round trip we made yoyo's in the car so she now has hers done. Some of the yoyos are the same as the girls are grabbing cut circles out of the same bag so they all sort of share a few colors

I was thinking the same thing. This was my first yo-yo project and I did notice that the more I did the better they got.
