Ditto to all the above posts! There truly is "strength in numbers". When I joined this website last summer, you all were, and continue to be my support system, and what helps keeps my sanity in place! Feeling like I had been dropped onto another planet, albeit a very picturesque planet, where English is rarely spoken, and my French was not anywhere as fluent as it is now. It is much easier now to converse in the marketplace or elsewhere, but it is extremely difficult to cultivate real friendships. Isolation is hard to bear, whether it is on a mountaintop 50 miles from town, or a foreign country, and I am so thankful we all have this place to pop in and nurture each other and be nurtured in return. Farmgal hugs to all! Nance

There is comfort in a women's group because we all go through the very same things in life and we are the support troup for our husbands and kids around. But sometimes we need strenght, we need to vent out sorrow or frustrations, and it is why I joined this place. It feels homy, somebody is always baking or knitting or quilting something, a few topics are rolling around, and it is soothing.
I have to thank you all, because living so far from home or my adopted country, I find here a family of way of life that makes my day, every single day of my life.
Hey Nancy, seems I am posting right after you on a few topics today, how fun.

Corinne, what time zone are you in? HA! I seem to sleep when all the good getting is going on in the barter forum, and post when alot of the gals are sleeping or at work! But isn't it fun to look back and see who was "on the farm" earlier in our day? You said it best; it is homey and comfy here, and inspiring, too, such wonderful women, all. Couldn't ask for more.
