Remember my post last week when I said we found a bat flying around in my daughter's bedroom when she was asleep, so we had it tested and luckily it was negitive for rabies?! Well, my bat saga continues on... I went to get the hoe out of the shed today and when I opened the door a bat flew right out and went right past my hair...I could feel it's wings in my hair. Gross, yuck, double yuck!!! At first I thought it was a moth or something but when I turned to see what it was I saw a bat about four feet away flying away. I've never seen bats in there before but I think hubby may have had the shed door open for a few hours last night so it must have flown in and gotten locked in and got scared when I pulled the door open. We never had bat problems when we lived in the country and here we live in town and have had two bat experiences in less than two weeks!!! Is anyone else having a problem?! -Elizabeth
Bats in the house are not so good but bats outside are fantastic. They eat mosquitos and moths, they usually don't get near people but they like nesting in sheds and around old growth woods. to keep them around but out of your shed and house you might think about getting a bat box. I know our True Value Hardware store sells them and I think Home Depot does also.

I remember your last post about bats. I live in the city also and we have bats but they have never been in my home like you have experienced! Each night I actually go outside at dusk and rock in my rocker for them to come. I love to watch them! There are very few but enough to enjoy! I hope you can start enjoying them instead of them scaring you to pieces in your home and shed! I would scream if they touched me!!!
