Back from Saturday Garage sales, posted pictures of some of the things.
Beautiful weather here, 70's and sunny. We have a birthday party to go to,it will be outside so it will be perfect out, plus lots of food I won't be cooking today.

Nancy Jo,
What great finds. Haven't tried making a pin keep yet. Hmmm, might have to think about that one. My Mom had 3 Amish Cookbooks she loaned me and I still have them 10 years later, we use them a lot. Mom said it was okay. She loves to just read cookbooks. It is one of her hobbies.

Life is short, enjoy every moment.

Since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I was calling myself Nancy Jo, Jr. and Mary Beth the Second this morning as I walked back from the center of town....all my farm gal pals seems to stumble across the coolest things without much effort!! The Red Cross was having a sort of garage sale, so I was hoping to find something worth snatching up. Mostly old clothes, kids stuff, and not much interesting kitchen paraphernalia, but I DID spy a jumble of doilies and linen dresser scarves. Found two beautifully made crocheted doilies, one round and delicate, and the other sturdier and elongated, a cutwork linen oval trimmed in red thread that will look neat on my kitchen table, a rectangular and an oval embroidered dresser "scarf". ALL for only 2 euro, which is about $2.65! My husband was amused, as always, to see me get excited about what he probably considered "useless" stuff! Anyway, my day is made!!

Nancy Jo, you have the proverbial luck of the Irish, for sure. Great buttons (I feel Katie-Ell's pain) and everything else. And after looking at Jack in that bonnet, I got the feeling he was none too happy about being captured on film wearing it, ha! Now get back out there, and keep us inspired!! Nance

You ladies find such wonderful items! I would love to go garage saling and antiquing, but I am keeping myself on a strict "Get out of debt budget" until, well- we get out of debt! Probably for another year atleast.
