I came across about 50 vintage copies of Workbasket Magazine from the 50's and 60's. If you are not familiar with this magazine, it is filled with crochet, knitting, recipes etc. I am willing to barter these. Is anyone interested? I will do them up in bundles of 5 depending on the main interest in the mags: crochet, doilies, knitting, sewing, etc.

Patterns for doilies, wraps, baby items wonderful....old patterns not available anywhere else now!!

I also have newer (within the last 5 years of Crochet! magazine.)

I can post photos on my blog, later today.

I also have many bags of yarn!! The baby yarn will be going to a special home, but I do have lots of Jiffy yarns, 4-ply worsted, etc.

I'll post photos of those later today too.

Just checking to see if anyone is interested.

Georgann,
If you still have any of the workbasket magazines I would love some.
What types of things would you like in return?

Susan and Denise,
If you can send me your addresses, I'll get some of the mags out to you this week. I'm planning a post office trip by Tues or Wed.

Well, I am weeding so I really don't need too many things! Just drop me a card someday or if you have some gardening magazines or small farm magazines or something like that that would be useful and nice....but not to worry.....like I said, I am bare boning my home right now!! I'm just glad someone will use them.

Oh, and Sunshine....I have your address!!!!

Send me your addresses and let me know if you knit crochet or sew....I'll try to put mags in with that emphasis!!

hugs,
Georgann

Sure Jess, I'll throw some in your yarn box. I am still looking for the winder!! I think it is in my sewing stash, and I haven't opened those tubs yet! I will have your box in the mail Tues or Wednesday. I'm taking the girls to Pocahontas State Park today to swim. I think we all need it today! It is supposed to be in the 90's here today....and humid. Blech.......I hate hot weather. Need to move north!!

Hi Georgann! I'd like some too if you have any left. I can put something to trade in with the dolly apron when I send it (when I get it finished, which I didn't over the weekend!). Thanks!

PS - I hate hot weather too! Every time my husband says he thinks we should move to Florida, I just cringe. Our older daughter moved to Phoenix about 5 years ago and loves it, but I'm afraid I'd just be miserable.

Georgann,
Was looking at your blog and thought I saw some threads for crocheting like doilies and such. You wouldn't happen to want to sell or trade some of that would you?

Denise, I'll be glad to send you some! I'll find doily patterns to go with it too. Tina Michelle, be sure to send me your address again so I can send some yarn and Workbaskets to Naomi too!! I'll try to send her some really cool retro vests and shawl patterns from the Workbaskets! They have complete dress ensemble patterns in a few of them too!!

Today will be an inside day of rest for me, so I have the time to box up promised items today. Took the girls to the state park to swim yesterday, and I was very ill last night. But my older daughter pampered me...it is nice to have daughters!!! I am feeling much better today (so far.)

Aunt George,

Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well last night, but hope you're doing better today. Yes, it is nice to have daughters that are able to help out when we are not feeling well or unable to do everything. At times like this I know all the extra time I put into instructing my daughters has been worth it. :-)

It seems like the Workbasket magazines are going fast, but if you have any left I'd be interested in a few...especially ones that have doilies. I have lots of different gardening magazines to share. Let me know if there's some special topic that you may be interested in.

I have a bunch of old Workbasket magaznes also, plus know where I can get about 50 more for probably a dime each. If and when Aunt George runs out, I can mail some out. All I ask is postage reimbursed and can send media mail to save $$ if you prefer.
Aunt George, when you send all yours out, if you'll post here that would be great.

Will do Ronna, I have them grouped in packs of 5. There is such a nice assortment of tatting, crochet, knitting in each one. And the ads are so fun to read. I will count the packs this afternoon and let you know how many I have to go out. Gotta make a quick run to Wal-Mart to get a snapset pool for the girls.

Farmgirls! Sorry about the delay on getting things out. I have been really, really sick this week. I think all of the rooting around in the dusty attic in 100 degree temperatures really got to me. I am just this morning starting to feel a bit better. It went right to my sinuses and my chest. Don't worry all of the yarn and the magazines were well sealed in big storage tubs, so they are dust free!! But my attic sure wasn't! ARGH....I painted the kitchen ceiling this morning, so I guess I am feeling a bit better!

I have been dragging through each day this week and just plain old suffering all afternoon and night, but........we shall survive!!! I just have so, so much to get done!

Georgann,
So sorry you have not been feeling well. Those sinus attacks are terrible. Just the reason to sit back, relax and sip on some tea. Rest is the best thing next to hot tea of course! I love hot tea but its hard to enjoy it in the summer.
Take care,
Denise

My dear farmgirl friends,
Please bear with me. I will be very delayed on all boxes going out that I have promised. I have just received devastating personal news, that will take me a long time to recover from. So please bear with me during this very, very difficult time. Please forgive me for the delay, I can't elaborate at this time. My kids are okay. I love all of you,
Georgann
