so i am trying to catch up on this thread...been gone this wknd...first of all...CLARE...Happy Birthday...jeez!! Hope you had a good day...for somereason I thought you were later in August!!! I hope you had a great greaet birthday!!
Okay..I do have good ideas for my minis...that will be some other time...sorry Kathie!
I am sitting here laughing my A** of at Kathie's last post, and my 9 yr old is like what is she laughing at??? And my husband replies...Don't worry it is just more of that farmgirl humor!!!

Happy Birthday Clare!  I'm 10 years ahead of you...LOL I think my mom's age thing was at 50 and I'll celebrate that next July.
OMG! Kathie, that Mom and Aunt roadtrip story is just too funny!!  I can just see them now. Your mom strangling her sister as they drive off in the sunset..LOL I'll bet they have soooo much fun even though they get into these mystery trips...LOL

It sounds like a fun thing that your Mom and Aunt do, its so fun doing at the spur moment stuff!!!
The girls(close friends) we do crazy things and have so much fun, and we are all in our late 50s early 60s |

They do this all the time!!
Just jump in the car on a Saturday morning to head to some really awesome sounding eatery one of them heard about.. or an antiques store some place some one told them of..
WITH OUT FAIL! They loose their way.. !!
They Rarely find the place they had REALLY set out to find..
They DO usually have a wonderful time though..
They live in Illinois.. i remember when i was younger my Mom would say "Hey ,lets go find this place.. It's supposed to be really something else!" We'd wind up in Wisconsin or Michigan!!
They ALWAYS have the best adventure's though!!
There are 4 of them.. 3 live very near each other still, so usually they all 3 go.. unless one of them is pissed off at one of the others.. about something that of course she'll never share with anyone.. probably because deep down.. She really knows how stupid it realy is.. or worse yet.. she has a fear that she just MAY be wrong.. & you know.. they will NEVER admit it..
The real fun is when THESE 3 decide on a road trip to go to Mississippi ,, Which is where the eldest is now living..
If theyr weren't pissed off at the onset of the trip.. they certainly will be by the time the trip will have ended!..
Because SOMEONE is either coming home Via bus or train now.. Or just flat out not speaking anymore! & this silence will last for months!
But.. they will insist that I have NO idea what i am talking about when I mention any said past trips!!.. & suggest possibly flying..or ALL taking the train.. Then of course.. they just won't speak to ME!! & I"M the bad guy then..
"How dare she? She has no idea! What the heck is she talking about?? Why would she say such a thing..?We always have a lovely time together!!"
& then I will get the Cold Shoulder for the next couple months for trying to prevent THEM from getting into a fight!!!
I am the bad guy then!!!!
You just can't win with them!!!
My sister says " WHY Do YOU EVEN TALK TO THEM!! "
Hence the whole.. "No good deed goes unpunished" comes into play!
But.. I think deep down.. I must REALLY just like to see the outcome maybe just a little bit too much!!! because they really do tickle me!

Kathie, that is just way too funny about the mom and aunts. You know, I think it is a midwesterner thing as my mom is from Ohio and can act the same way. I always thought she had "selective memory".
Jess, I love when I laugh out loud from these posts, too. how funny that your family knows it now as farmgirl humor.

& Girls.. They were Sooooo Worth the wait!!!
What a beautiful Job She does on everything!!
Every detail!!! She is so attentive!! Waist Bands..Pleats.. Ruffles!!
WOW!!
& the fabrics she uses!! ALLlll So Gorgeous! & Vintage looking.. so for me.. I REALLY love these designs!!

You all know what this means ? 
We are ALLLLLLL finished with this Swap now Ladies!!!
Our little Sweeties should be able to get their Glamour Shots this weekend.. ( Time permitting for the photo shoot.. Due to conflicting scheduling for the photographer..)
AND THEN!!
They will say their Good Bye's & exchange addresses as all good friends & family do.. Pack all their bags.. & Should be on their way to their new homes by Monday or Tuesday!!!

Ahhhh as they say their sweet goodbyes and farewells, waving their little ties to one another.....

| i am excited too!! I amn going to make a quilt with them...one on every other square, then as i get more...if I get more i will add them to the edge of the quilt and fill in the blank squares...it will be really cute I think. Cannot wait Kathie...! |

I love your little Bib's,, if you list them on Ebay, also cross list them as Cat/sm.dog bibs, yes, believe it or not at the Cat shows & I presume, Dog show as well, the "contestants" wear little bibs before going into the areana. To keep them from dribbling food on their little chests as well as to keep them from grooming (licking) their front chest. It is odd to see a Himalyan kittie wearing a bib, but also very cute!
"course my 3 Himies would probablly get even with me in the middle of the night if I ever put a bib on them...

Oh.. Sorry.. Got so excited talking about the Quilt idea.. that i forgot to mention.. I DID get the Glamour Shots all taken today..
Have sorted the Girls all out & in their proper Envelopes even ..
& they are Ready for the Road Now!!
I have to work Overtime Monday Morning.. So I'll get them to the Post Office 1st thing Tuesday Morning!! Soooooo my Dears.. Won't be long before you all have your Sweet little babies home!!

Hi Grace- Thank you for taking a peek at my blog!! I never would have thought of putting bibs on dogs and cats. Just goes to show how little I know!! Thanks for the heads up- I will do that when I list them. Maybe I should use fabric that is a little more animal friendly. Wouldn't want the little dears getting a complex by having to wear pink!!!
I love the quilt idea, Jess! Mine are going acround the top of my craft room. Like a garland. :)
