Well, finally, Friday night at 10:30 the truck rolled in from Nevada to deliver our goats. We have had to wait until the baby was old enough to make the long trip. Here are some pictures. The first one is O,Malley who was born around St. Patties Day. And of course, she is a red-head.
The rest are Jack and Jill(not pictured), Myrtle, Missy and a little buckling that has not been named yet.
Thought you might like to see the pics.

They are "fainting goats". Actually they are really called myotonic goats....because they don't actually faint, but rather when they are startled, their muscles become stiff and they fall over. When they first encountered one of the dogs, all seven of them dropped over. Funny....in an odd sort of way!

Very very cute! Are they going to be pets, meat goats or milking goats?

We are going to raise them to sell.....other than that, they will have no job to perform except to delight and entertain. I think we will be starting a website for the goats in order to advertize and sell. I guess I can't put baby goats for sale on my Etsy! LOL!!

Bev, welcome to goat heaven. They are so adorable. I use to have a myotonic goat when I was around 15. Goats are wonderful pets and provide some interesting entertainment. Good luck and keep us up to date. Laura www.2lmzfarms.blogspot.com |

I love these little guys (and gals). About that poop, Kathie.....reminds me of rabbit poop, even smaller, though. Here is one for all you goat lovers.....goat poop makes great houseplant fertilizer....so I have heard. Can you picture me out there picking up those little brown raisinettes and bringing them in the house to feed the plants?????
