Hey there,

I am hooked on spinning with my drop spindle! And I playing with the idea of getting a spinning wheel...single or double threadle and I'm mostlyiinterested in being able to make mediums to extra bulky singles.

I have a huge vintage fabric collection and some new fabrics. I have lots of vintage chenille in many colors, textures and patterns, many many pieces of printed cottons, vintage floral tablecloths, linen tablecloths, new interlock knits for infants, many vintage shabby rose designs, shabby satin and tafetta twin bedspreads and so much more..

I would like to trade fabrics for your Wool Roving, Batts, Top, just let me know what you have to barter with (type of Animal and how it is prepared) in the way of wool. I would like some undyed as well as some of it dyed in solids and variegated colorways.

I would like to barter for upto 10 to 15 pounds of the combined types, colors, etc.

Any one person may not have all of this to let go of through a barter situation but maybe between all that have some I could accumulate the amounts that I want.

Let me know in your post if you are interested in bundles in the following sizes: Fat quarters or bundles of 1/2 yard pieces, 1 yard pieces, 2 yard pieces, 3 yards bundles, etc.

I can post pictures of fabrics with the sizes that you all can choose from along with the price that would apply to calculating the equal barter exchange....

So if you can post photos of what you have to barter with and the price for me to calculate by we can get started!

Hope to hear from you farmgirls

Peace, Stephanie

Stephanie - if you are looking for undyed roving, try stickchick at ETSY.

She has some in her store for $4 right now...

Hey, so you are saying I need to contact her to see if she will barter for fabric? or I need to go buy it from her??

I have a few sellers that I have bought from on Etsy and Ebay....

Iim interested in a barter if possible. Surely there are farmgirls on this group that will barter some wool even it it's small amounts for my vintage fabrics....

I can't imagine there NOT being any spinner farmgirls that will not barter with me....that is if they love vintage fabrics.

Peace, Stephanie

OK, I'll bite - what do you want? I don't have a box of wool and roving, I don't have a pile of roving, I don't even have a closet of roving - I've been spinning for about 10 years, so I probably have the equivalent of a room of roving! I have everything from raw, unwashed fleeces - various breeds of sheep, to raw, unwashed llama, washed uncarded fleeces, carded rovings and batts, silks, cottons, colors, naturals, varigateds, solids, etc. E-mail me offlist to let me know exactly what you're looking for.

I have lots, too. From my own farm, my list actually sounds like the one above, so I won't repeat it! If you have any shabby rose left, I will wait to hear from you.
