Here are some photos of stuff blooming in my yard, of course I was careful not to include the weeds

[]
Foxglove and some blooming sage in the back

Raspberry blossoms

sweet William a gift two years ago from Mom's garden

[]
Lavender

[]
My deep red clematis and princess of bangkok double clematis

]
My favorite yellow rose - such a sweet smell

[]
My iceberg climbing rose on our front porch

[]
close up of the roses from the climber - always perfect little buds before it blooms and has a soft sweet scent.

[]
My rhubarb that needs to be harvested.

Of course I have a few roses, not as many as most, but a few. We are the city of Roses and it is almost Rose Festival time here, so it is only natural to have them in the yard.

As I weed and discover what else is blooming , I'll post more photos.

Anne, I enjoyed visiting your garden, thanks! I used to live up by you, ever heard of Monmouth? Now I live where it's not easy to grow anything! I still give it a try though. Yellow roses are my favorite as far a fragrance.

Send more photos when you can! Cindy

Cindy -

Yes I know where Monmouth is - it is south of us about 50 + miles. Is it hard to grow in Nevada because of the dry weather? Have you looked into local plants - or are they limited there?

Right now not only are the plants growing but weeds - oh my god!!! I pulled and pulled this weekend and I barely made a dent. I still have my perinnial bed to weed - that is where the butterfly bush, rosemary, foxglove, lavender, etc are. I know they are in there, I just have to find them through the weeds.

When my pink jasmine blooms I will have to see if I can get a good photo of that along with my fairy rose arbor.

Beautiful photos, Anne. I could almost smell those sweet iceberg roses.

Thanks for the garden tour! You look like you're a few weeks ahead of us here in the Chicago area. My rose shrub just started blooming. The clematis vine is showing off, the prim roses, dianthus, Jacob's Ladder, spider wort and violas are all blooming too.

It's funny on the progess of everyone's garden depending on where you are located in the country. I was reading the other garden thread "How is your garden doing" and they are talking about sunflowers, other veggies up and growing. I just planted my veggies and they haven't even popped above the ground yet - until this weekend it has been in the 50's to 60's and raining - now it is in the 80's but scheduled to go down to the 60's again by next week. My roses just started bursting about a week ago, right when I came back from Indianapolis. In the next month I should start to see lilies, the butterfly bush and more of my late roses starting to bloom and hopefully my tomatoes will start to take off.
