oh my gosh! it truly is a 'small world' .. a few years ago, i discovered a wonderful new doll and teddy bear artist friend, Gloria Bowlin. TODAY .. on my way home from toledo .. i whipped over to a little town in Ohio (Tipp City) .. visited a CUTE shoppe called "Feather Your Nest". I stopped in and found lots of wonderfuls .. and THEN .. i saw the MOST ADORABLE display of hand-made teddy bears .. the artist: GLORIA BOWLIN!!!! I asked the lady working there if Gloria lived near there.
She replied: "I'M GLORIA BOWLIN!!" .. OH LORDY! I JUST JUMPED UP AND DOWN AND SCREECHED ... "OH MY GOSH .. GLORIA ... IT'S FRANNIE .. FROM CABIN CREEK FARM!!!!" (oh lordy! we've both changed so much that we didn't even recognize each other!!!) of course, i had only met her twice .. but we became on-line pals .. until i moved to kentucky and lost track of her!!! Oh what fun! i will visit her on every trip to or from Toledo!!!
Make new friends Keep the olde, one is silver .. the other gold!
Oh how wonderful! It is always great to run into someone like that and rediscover how truly small our world can be! I bet she was tickled to meet you again!
alee .. what are YOU doing up so late? i am just so excited to be home .. and spent time telling honey hunk all about 'the grandkids' .. than ran up here to check messages before hitting the bed .. and i'm on a ROLL!
isn't it an amazingly small world! (sixth degree of separation!!!) xo
Aw that wasn't late! Only 9:30pm for me. I ended up going to bed about 1:30am or 2. Nora decided to wake up around 11pm and did not want to go back to sleep. :)
